|Cut the design very roughly out of the fabric.
Cut a piece of double sided adhesive tape in about the same size.
In Holland we have Aslan for this. Each side has it's own protective layer. One side is orange and has a strong glue capacity. The other side is white and is not so sticky which makes corrections possible.
Prize off an angle from the least sticky protective layer.
Put the dessin carefully on the adhesive tape.
Remove the rest of the protective layer and smoothen the dessin carefully on the adhesive tape.
Start cutting out the dessin on the exact outline. Because of the adhesive tape the sides will be not be frayed.
Removing the other protective layer can be rather difficult. Use the sharp tip of a pair of siccors or a pin and prick through the protective layer to get a starting point. Also a small piece of adhesive tape can be helpful.
Turn over a small piece of the protective layer.
Position this part on the card and then carefully remove the rest of the protective layer and smoothen the dessin on the card.
If you need to remove items in the middle of the dessin just cut through it. If you position it properly on the card it will not show.
If your pair of scissors get polluted by glue you can use a sticker removal solvent to clean it.
Dessins that are not complete can be used on the side of a card!
